- This computer is everything I'd hoped it would be. Stylish looking. Easy to set up. No endless trailing wires. Oh, so quiet. Super quick. Excellent screen definition. Very good keyboard and mouse. Connected without problem to my wireless connection. At last - an on/off switch on the mouse. My old mouse went through batteries like it was going out of fashion. Sound is good, although I haven't really it put it through it's paces yet. I am not a gamer so can't comment on that. I did manage to make a recovery disc on a 16gb memory stick (used just over 15gb). It took just over the hour.
A couple of small grumbles though, the biggest one being NO HP MANUAL OR QUICK GUIDE supplied and couldn't download one until I had set the thing up - that's just mad HP - sort it out please! I do get quite a bit of reflection from the window but will need to work around that (or buy curtains). Tilt action may help. The power connector to the screen could be a tighter fit and I may need to address that.
I did purchase Microsoft Office 2010 and it loaded just fine. I had trouble connecting to my work server but that was a small hitch this end and nothing to do with the computer.
I think for the price I would rather do without the odd gimmicks and get a full version of Norton or McAfee and/or application software.
